RDSPs – Ottawa, Ontario
Registered Disability Savings Plans are investment plans intended to help individuals with disabilities to save for their long-term financial security. An RDSP may be established by an individual on his or her own behalf, or by a parent or guardian for the benefit of a minor.
RDSPs provide tax deferred growth. Additionally, individuals with an RDSP may be eligible for a government assistance incentive, such as a Canada Disability Savings Grant, a Canada Disability Savings Bond, or contribution matching.
There is no limit to your annual contribution to your RDSP, up to a lifetime limit of $200,000.
RDSPs are available to Canadian residents who are eligible for the disability tax credit, hold a valid social insurance number, and are under the age of sixty.
